Highlights from Dreamforce 2019, Day – 2

After an action-packed first day of Dreamforce 2019, the expectation was at the peak for day two events; and as always Salesforce events never fail to deliver. It was an awesome day & some of the top personalities were featured including media maven Arianna Huffington, Bay Area royalty Stephen and Ayesha Curry, and Salesforce’s own Parker Harris and Bret Taylor during the annual True to the Core customer forum. 

Here are all the top highlights from the second day of #DF19;

Salesforce Evergreen

Salesforce launched Salesforce Evergreen, a new addition to its Customer 360 Platform. This new feature will help build modern-day apps to deliver connected experiences leveraging Salesforce data and business logic. With Evergreen, enterprises can improve developer productivity by using contemporary industry patterns including functions & microservices along with open standards like Kubernetes, to offer responsive, personalized and intelligent customer experiences. 

Salesforce Data Mask

Salesforce has introduced Salesforce Data Mask that will help enterprises customize, build, and test on Salesforce while securing sensitive data. This tool anonymizes and deletes protected data from sandbox environments so that you can test with high fidelity substitute data and ensure that your customers’ data is kept private and confidential. This new tool was introduced keeping GDPR & other data regulations passing all over the world ensuring data is secure in every environment. 

Einstein Keynote

AI is the current big thing in business and the future looks exciting. AI is certainly going to play a key role in digital transformation. At the Einstein Keynote on day two, some of the business leaders including Leave a Nest Co., Ltd CIO Joji Yoshida, State Street Global Advisors Global Director of Sales Enablement Tools and Analytics Jessica DeLeo, and members of Salesforce Einstein AI team, discussed how to implement, adopt and achieve a single view of the customer with the help of AI. 

Trailhead Keynote

Trailhead Keynote on day two was as expected heartwarming. Trailhead is playing a key role in expanding the Salesforce community and enabling developers to expand their skills. Kris discussed the significance of Trailhead as a tool to reskill the workforce. Chris Duarte, AP of Trailhead Content showcased new enhanced Trailhead features to optimize learning. The session also included discussions around Trailhead LIVE for videos of expert-led certification classes, the new Trailhead Go in partnership with Apple for iOS for mobile learning, A new AWS certification partnership, etc. 

The $12 Trillion Opportunity behind the UN SDGs

Film director Richard Curtis joined Project Everyone’s Gail Gallie to discuss how the UN SDGs could open up an estimated $12 trillion USD in market opportunities and create 380 million jobs. 

Importance of Health & Wellness

Thrive Global Founder and CEO Arianna Huffington and Salesforce Chairman and Co-CEO Marc Benioff joined together for the discussion on the importance of health & wellness in achieving goals. Arianna talked about the mission of Thrive Global to eradicate the stress and burnout epidemic. She also shared her views on meditation, breath, and spirituality in order to come out of stress & epidemic. 

Dreamfest – FLEETWOOD MAC

The main highlight of day two was Dreamfest. After a day full of sessions, keynotes, and workshops, Trailblazers joined together for one epic party. Fleetwood Mac rocked at Dreamfest this year for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospitals.
